Our Black Forest Estate Trophy Hunts welcome you all

CHOOSE :- FREE RANGE, FAIR CHASE, PRIVATE PROPERTY

Rifle hunt the best areas on the slopes of Mt Ruapehu with the expert help from your hunting guide. We have a range for you to sight in your rifle or you may wish to loan a rifle for your hunt. Rifle hunting territory ranges over rolling hills through native forest clearings or hunt close up within the Manuka scrub lands.

Bow hunters are welcome on Lahar Farm. Guides will maximise your opportunities by using our tree and platform stands in the “Black Forest Estate” or you are welcome and encouraged to spot and stalk the clearings, there is a daily trespass fee which is wavered if a trophy deer is shot.

A Green hunt is for those who want the thrill of stalking without the kill. You may be guided onto the roaring stag for those once in a life time photographs. Advisable to bring your own cameras or video equipment but you are welcome to use ours and we will create a CD copy for you. Guides will use our “Black Forest Estate” and make full use of the bow stands. Photograph the magnificent backdrop of Mt Ruapehu with your stag out in front, available all year.
